Director : Dr. Danny Haddad

Prior to joining Children Without Worms, Dr. Haddad held several positions at Helen Keller International (HKI). Most recently, he oversaw the integration of HKI's neglected tropical disease programs (onchocerciasis, lymphatic filariasis and soil-transmitted helminths) in Africa. In addition, he supervised a project for trachoma control in Tanzania that included sanitation improvement and development of a school health curriculum incorporating hygiene education. Other positions Dr. Haddad held at HKI included Africa Regional Coordinator for Onchocerciasis and Trachoma; Director for Onchocerciasis; Country Director for Tanzania; and Regional Eye Health and Onchocerciasis Advisor.
Dr. Haddad serves as the chairperson of the Non-governmental Development Organization Coordination Group for Onchocerciasis Control. He received his medical degree from the State University of Groningen, The Netherlands. He worked as a resident in medical microbiology at the Academic Medical Center (AMC) of the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands, where he focused on diagnosis and treatment of parasitic diseases.



Senior Associate Director: Kim Koporc, MPH, MBA

Ms. Kim Koporc has over 15 years experience in international health and development. As Senior Associate Director of Children Without Worms, she is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the program and liaising with recipients and program partners. Before joining the Program, Ms. Koporc served as a Project Manager on several programs at the Task Force for Child Survival and Development, including the Public Health Informatics Institute, the US Wild Poliovirus Laboratory Containment Program, and the Malarone Donation Program. Prior to that, Ms. Koporc worked for four years as a consultant specializing in international health in East and West Africa. She has also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ghana, West Africa, establishing a district-wide water and sanitation health program.Ms Koporc received her Masters of Public Health from Tulane University,and her Masters of Business Administration from Emory University.



Coordinator: Nikita McCage, MPH

Ms. McCage is responsible for providing administrative, communications and financial management support to Children Without Worms. She is a certified grant writer with six years of experience as a program coordinator with the Minority Health Professions Foundation (MHPF). In that role, she was responsible for managing, coordinating and liaising between the MHPF, its member institutions and funding agencies for researching funding opportunities, writing grant proposals and preparing progress reports. Ms. McCage holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health Administration from Dillard University in New Orleans, LA and a Masters in Public Health degree with a concentration in Behavioral Science and Health Education from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Tallahassee, FL.
