Children Without Worms (CWW) works with Ministries of Health and Education and non-governmental organizations in eight countries around the world to administer the mebendazole donated by Johnson & Johnson and promote the WASHED Framework. Bangladesh

Recipient government agency: Filariasis Elimination and STH Control Program, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare

STH prevalence: A baseline survey, carried out in 2005 in  collaboration with WHO, revealed that 79.8% of school-age children (SAC) were infected with STH

Cambodia

Recipient government agency: National Center for Parasitology, Entomology, and Malaria Control, Ministry of Health

STH prevalence: Parasitological surveys conducted in 2000-2002 revealed STH prevalence rates ranging from 9.6% to 81%

Cameroon

Recipient government agency: National Program for Control of Schistosomiasis and Intestinal Helminthiasis, Ministry of Public Health

STH prevalence: Baseline surveys between 1985 and 1987 indicated overall prevalence of Ascaris, Trichuris and hookworm in Cameroon's school-age children was 42.6%, 53.4% and 14.7%, respectively

Cape Verde

Lao PDR

STH prevalence: Parasitological surveys carried out between 2000 and 2002 revealed a prevalence rate ranging from 27% to 96%

Nicaragua

Uganda

Recipient government agency: School Health Division, Ministry of Health

STH prevalence: Baseline surveys conducted in 46 of Uganda's 56 districts between 1998 and 2005 indicated prevalence of Ascaris, Trichuris, and hookworm was 6.3%, 5.0% and 43.5%, respectively

Zambia
